Mini Coolers Can Keep Your Family on The Road
Suzy wants a juice. Tommy needs a snack. Your spouse cannot go another mile without a water to quench thirst.
Requests like these can go on for what may seem like forever when you are on the road with your family. If you keep stopping to fulfill every request, you are never going to get to your destination.
You can fight back by taking a few proactive measures before you even step foot in the car to head out on your trip. Plan ahead by packing a mini cooler to keep in the car and you will find yourself not having to make so many detours along the way.
A simple, small cooler designed to hold about six soda pop cans is generally big enough to lessen the need for detours. If necessary, you can easily get a slightly larger cooler and stow it safely on the floorboard of the backseat.
When packing the cooler to prepare your pre-emptive strike, make sure to consider putting in at least one or two drinks and snacks for each family member. Keep a small grocery bag in the trunk or back of the vehicle to replenish the cooler when you do need to make a stop. Also be sure to place any medications that must be kept chilled in the cooler.
Family road trips can get sidelined before they take off if some planning is not put into action before pulling out. While a mini cooler in the car will not stop the need for potty breaks, it can help you keep the detours to a minimum.
