Make Your Car More Comfortable For Little Sleepers

The sound of snores coming from the backseat during a road trip with children can be music to your ears. It can, however, turn into quite a cacophony of discomfort if your youngsters look more like pretzels than precious little bundles of joy.

It is possible to make sure your children are a bit more comfortable without running the risk of unbuckling them from seat belts or car seats. With a few preparations stowed in your car, you will find yourself at ease listening to the sweet sounds of silence.

To make sure your children are comfortable during road trip snoozes, be sure to bring along:

• Small travel blankets for each one or their favorite baby blankets.
• Travel pillows for each child to snuggle up with.
• A stuffed animal or toy that is a favorite. These will make going to sleep in a strange place more comfortable throughout the trip.
• An infant head pillow. If your little one is really little, one of these will keep her head straight during the ride. It is a good idea to have this installed for the entire trip.

Pulling a child out of a seat belt or car seat for a cat nap on the road is just never a good idea. You can, however, help them enjoy a bit of comfort as the miles roll by. With a few preparations in place, you can both rest assured of a decent sleep. Now, that will be music to your ears!
