How to Stay Organized With Kids

There is a common misconception that if you have kids, as well as a busy life, there is no way you can stay organized.  However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.  If you put together some commonly followed rules, you will be able to keep your kids organized and keep your sanity.

First, we all know that any active family creates a lot of dirty laundry.  It is best, in order to manage this effectively, to pick one day per week to do laundry.  It will allow you to get everything done at once and will allow you to focus on the task at hand.

Next, determine another day that is strictly for house cleaning.  On this day, only clean the house.  Don’t try to do yard work, ironing, or other activities.  Make it a game and get all family members to participate.

Another helpful tip is to sit down and plan a grocery list once a week and designate dinners for every day of the week.  Know what you are having on what day.  This will take stress out of the eternal question, “What’s for dinner?”

Finally, the night before school or work, lay out the clothes that you are wearing the next day and what your kids will be wearing to school.  When you do this, you will make your morning run easier and get out the door on time.

When you employ simple rules and practices into life around your house, you will be able to keep your family organized.
